CT Coronary Calcium Scoring

The Coronary Calcium Score is used to screen patients on their risk for future coronary artery disease. CT Scan technology is employed, and the amount of calcium in the coronary arteries is calculated. The higher the score of  coronary calcium indicates more coronary artery plaque, thus suggesting a greater risk of narrowing in the coronary arteries and therefore a higher risk of a heart attack.
